A beautiful countryside with many wineries await visitors on the Niagara Wine Trail USA. The trail offers a diverse array of wineries to tour and areas rich in history, near Niagara Falls, Buffalo and Clarence NY. The Niagara Wine Trail USA features over 20 (and counting). Wineries feature traditional vinifera styles, late harvest, ice wines, fruit wines and sparkling wines.
The character of the local limestone soils, gravel silts and moderate climate, allow for a diverse production of fruit and vinifera grapes. Wines include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot.
Wines from the Niagara Wine Trail USA region have earned top scores by wine critics and international wine competitions. The region has been recognized by prominent wine publications as producing the best Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Ice Wines and Syrah that New York State has to offer.
