Tour a Winery Near Niagara Falls

If watching the falls has you thirsty, stop by one of the over 20 wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail. Our favorite wineries near Niagara Falls include Long Cliff Vineyard and Winery, which offers tastings, tours, and events. Another great choice is Black Willow Winery. Aside from the incredible wines offered here, they also sell mead and artisan oils and vinegars. A Gust of Sun Winery and Vineyard is another must-see attraction, with tasting rooms in both Spencerport and Ransomville, NY. Have a picnic or take a stroll on their grounds during your visit! If you’re looking for something less busy, stop by Arrowhead Spring Vineyards. This winery is using effective and sustainable techniques to create exquisite wines. Finally, Lake Ontario Winery and Vineyards is a one-stop-shop for artisan alcohol! They feature a cider mill, brewery, distillery, and so much more. Check their calendar to see if you can attend a wine or beer-making class!

Visit Goat Island

Goat Island houses Niagara Falls State Park, which features great hiking trails as well as one of the best views of the falls. One of the most interesting highlights, though, is the famous Top of the Falls Restaurant, which offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience. They operate seasonally, beginning in May, serving up modern American cuisine mixed with classic dishes. Be sure to save room for dessert and bring your camera. You’re not going to want to miss this unique spot!

Tour Old Fort Niagara

Travel back in time at Old Fort Niagara, to an era when the British, French, and American empires were struggling for control of North America. During your time at the site, you can see original 18th-century buildings and take part in living history programs. Check the park’s calendar to see if you can attend one of the special events where reenactors faithfully recreate the lives of those who served at the fort.
