Asa Ransom House Restaurant Is Now Open As “Adelaide’s”
Owners Bradley and Cassandra McCallum are pleased to announce the reopening of the property’s restaurant for dinner service under the new name of “Adelaide’s”. Adelaide’s serves fresh, innovative takes on Continental European classics under the culinary leadership of Chef Isaac Layzod. Last having led the culinary of Share Kitchen in Williamsville, and well known for his culinary flair, innovation, and skill, Chef Layzod brings a worldly and understanding of culinary excellence to Adelaide’s menu and the Clarence community. Having experience abroad and across the continent, Chef Layzod is well equipped to meet the demands of the most discriminating of clientele.
Adelaide’s is open for dinner Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings, from 5pm-9pm. Reservations are available at 716-759-2315. The restaurant also serves Afternoon Tea by reservation on Thursday and Saturday afternoons; private dining events on other days; and daily breakfast to overnight guests.
The opening of Adelaide’s is an early step in the McCallums’ plans for a broader revitalization, rebranding and repositioning of Asa Ransom House, building on its tradition of gracious hospitality. Having purchased the property in August 2021, they have extensive plans to ensure its continued viability, including rebranding the inn as “The Duke of Clarence”; implementation of a new website; a multi-year phased property redecoration and improvement program; and the addition of a craft cocktail bar in the style of a traditional private club.
The names “The Duke of Clarence” and “Adelaide’s” draw on Clarence’s history, the town having been named to honor the Duke of Clarence & St. Andrews (the fourth son of King George III and later himself King William IV) and his wife and Queen Consort, Princess Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen.
