Asa Ransom House Policies

Guest Policies

Check In and Check Out

Daily check-in is from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Check-out is Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m., and Saturday or Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Late check-out may be available upon request.

Deposits

A deposit of $100 per night’s lodging may be required. We prefer your personal or corporate check. We will honor Discover, Visa, and MasterCard.

Cancellations

Refund of deposit will be made if the reservation is canceled seven or more days in advance. If the cancellation is made less than seven days in advance, the deposit will be refunded only if the room can be re-rented. There is a 5% cancellation fee when a deposit is made with a credit card.

Corporate Rate

Single/Business Bed & Breakfast rate is $104 our choice of selected rooms, Monday through Thursday. Should you request a deluxe room or suite, the rate is $10 less the double rate.

Children

We are happy to accommodate families with children of all ages. There is no age restriction at Asa Ransom House.

Pets

We have two pet-friendly rooms, Pine Grove and Renaissance. Due to allergies, we do not allow cats.

Events Policies

Asa Ransom is dedicated to providing a high-quality event venue for the Greater Buffalo and Niagara Falls area of Western New York. To make sure that you and your guests enjoy a well-organized function at our Clarence, New York, event facility, we request that you comply with the following policies:

Minimum Number of Guests

In order to secure a private room for your function, a minimum number of guests is required (25 to 30, depending on the season). Saturday and Sunday afternoons are the most popular days to have an event, so be sure to call ahead. The maximum capacity of our room is 45. We recommend a maximum of 40 for bridal and baby showers to allow extra tables for gifts.

Dining Room Availability

On Saturday afternoon, the dining room may be occupied until 4:00 p.m. On Sunday afternoon, the dining room may be occupied until 3:30 p.m.

Deposit

A Deposit of $150 is required to confirm your reservation date and will be applied to the total cost of the event. In the event of a cancellation, the deposit will be refunded if the room can be re-rented. The customer agrees to make the balance payment in full following the function. We accept cash, personal or corporate check, and will honor Discover, Visa, or Mastercard.

Food Menus for Advance Reservations

Here at Asa Ransom House, we change our menu three times a year. If you are booking your gathering at our Clarence, New York, event facility months in advance, please include an address or fax number with your deposit, so that our staff may send you the current menu closer to your event’s date. If you have a request for a dish you’ve had here in the past, please don’t hesitate to ask. Menu selection and other arrangements must be confirmed at least 10 days before the function.

Taxes and Fees

All functions are subject to an NYS Erie County Sales Tax (unless a tax exempt form has been filed with us before the event). Weddings are subject to a $150 facility fee to cover setup and breakdown of an on-premise ceremony, private dining room, custom menu, and all other pertaining details. There is a $25 facility fee for all other events added to cover personalized menus and linen.

Price Guarantee

Price quotations for our Clarence, New York, event facility are subject to a 90-day guarantee.

Outside Food and Beverage

Outside food and beverages are not permitted on the premises without permission. Should you bring a special dessert not prepared by our staff, a $1.00 per person plate charge is added. We do not allow confetti to be used in decorating, and please advise our staff of your needs for table space of prizes and favors.

Guests Confirmation

The final number of guaranteed guests must be confirmed 24 hours before function. Charges will be figured for the guaranteed number whatever the actual attendance. If no guarantee is received, the estimate indicated on the original agreement will be established guaranteed attendance.

Alcohol

In accordance with NYS Liquor Authority Law, Asa Ransom House reserves the right to refuse alcohol to anyone of questionable age or condition.
